Regulated by Provision No. 100 of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), on June 7, 2022, the online platform “e-notariado” was made available, which allows the possibility of digital notarization in notary offices throughout Brazil.

With this novelty, people have the possibility of scanning a document, which will be signed by the notary and sent digitally to its final recipients.

In order for the signature recognition to be carried out electronically, the user must have a notarized digital certificate, which is issued free of charge by the platform itself. To access the certificate request page, click here. With the digital certificate issued, the user will have their personal digital signature.

The implementation of the online platform has brought several important points, among which are: convenience and agility for the population; no need to go to the registry office to obtain a signature; the possibility of making public deeds for the purchase and sale of real estate, donations, sharing, powers of attorney, wills and even document authentications.

With the use of the “e-notary” platform throughout the country, it is believed that there will be greater legal security and greater efficiency in citizens’ property and personal business, given the guarantee of certification of digital documents through notaries.
