The Decree published on September 24, 2020 established PagTesouro as a digital platform for paying and collecting amounts to the National Treasury’s Single Account.
The new government payment platform, PagTesouro, was launched by the National Treasury Secretariat (STN) in partnership with the Digital Government Secretariat, the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) and Banco do Brasil in September 2019.
The tool aims to modernize the way the government interacts with citizens, reducing bureaucracy and the time it takes for the state to respond to society. The platform also provides for interaction with the new Instant Payments Ecosystem – Pix.
