The new Arbitration Rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) will come into force on January 1, 2021 and will define the procedures for cases submitted to the International Court of Arbitration from the beginning of the year.
The ICCArbitration Rules are used all over the world to settle international commercial disputes. They are generally recognized for providing parties with a neutral framework for resolving cross-border disputes.
Until then, the rules in force are from the 2017 Arbitration Rules, so these rules will apply to all cases registered until January 1st. The official launch of the new Rules is scheduled for December 2020 and, until then, the text already published can still be reviewed and modified by the institution.
