In an interview with Portal Rural News, Angelo Ambrizzi, our head of tax, spoke about the possible impacts of the tax reform on agribusiness.

The expert comments that the tax reform did bring many positive points, but that it still generates legal and economic uncertainty over the vagueness of which rates will be applied to sectors and the amount that will be charged to each taxpayer for tax purposes.

The lawyer also points out that, for individual rural producers, if the text of the reform passes the Senate, there will be the possibility of being taxed or not, i.e. they can choose to be outside the tax chain, not having any tax incidence on their sale/exit.

The interview was also attended by Jefrey Albers, coordinator of FAEP’s technical and economic department.
