In an extra edition of the Federal Official Gazette, published on October 16, 2020, the Federal Government released the names of the nominees to make up the Board of Directors of the National Data Protection Agency (ANPD):
- Waldemar Gonçalves Ortunho Junior, appointed president of the authority
- Joacil Basilio Rael;
- Arthur Pereira Sabbat;
- Miriam Wimmer;
- Nairane Farias Rabelo Leitão;
- Vitor Eduardo Saback;
- Juliano Alcântara Noman; and
- Tiago Sousa Pereira.
The nominees include professionals from the Institutional Security Office (GSI) and one of the authors of the national cybersecurity strategy, military personnel, former Telebras employees and representatives from the private sector.
