The Central Bank, in order to comply with the provisions of the General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD), published its “Personal Data Protection Impact Report” of September 2020, so that data subjects are aware of the practices adopted by the Central Bank for data protection and its internal control systems.

The document is divided into eight parts and includes security measures, processing flows for digital and physical data, the nature of the data and the risks they are subjected to during processing.

The trend is for more and more public and private companies to protect themselves from the possible administrative sanctions of the National Data Authority (ANPD), as well as possible civil and criminal liability.
