The October edition of the Risk Bulletin, published by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), registered a high number of IPOs (initial public offerings) in the Brazilian capital market during the month of September 2020.
This was highlighted by the risk indicators produced monthly by the Bulletin, which had not reached these levels since 2010.
“Throughout September 2020, we saw a record number of IPOs that started trading on the market, considering the period after 2010. There were 8 such offerings, totaling 16 IPOs this year. And if you look deeper, there were 12 share distribution offers in the month, totaling a significant amount of R$16.6 billion raised”
(Bruno Luna, Head of CVM’s Economic Analysis and Risk Management Department)
