The CVM recently launched three new public hearings. The first, which began on 01/12/2020, aims to modernize the regulations on the constitution, operation and disclosure of information on investment funds, based on the Economic Freedom Act.

The suggestion put to the hearing also aims to review and consolidate the rules on the subject, as determined by Decree 10.139/19.

Considerations can be sent until April 2, 2021 to [email protected].

The second public hearing concerns changes to Instruction 480. The main objective of the hearing, published on December 7, 2020, is to “reduce the cost of regulatory compliance for securities issuers, continuing the efforts already made in this direction as part of CVM’s strategic planning”.

The intention, once again, is to simplify, rationalize and improve the provision of information, including with regard to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, a topic currently much discussed in Brazil and around the world.

Contributions can be sent until March 8, 2021 to [email protected].

The last public hearing, held jointly with the Accounting Pronouncements Committee (CPC) and the Federal Accounting Council (CFC), began on December 9, 2020, and the revision establishes changes promoted by the IASB (International Accounting Standard Board) in 2020. Suggestions and comments can be sent to [email protected] by February 8, 2021 .
