In an interview with journalist Fábio Matos, from the Metrópoles portal, Angelo Ambrizzi, head of our tax department, commented on the next steps following the enactment of the Tax Reform.
Now begins a decisive stage for the changes to come off the drawing board and become a reality. In this sense, many points will be defined by means of complementary laws.
“The main point is the complementary laws that will establish the taxes. The calculation bases and the moment of taxation must be very well specified in the complementary laws. We need to have uniformity in these laws, everything must be very clear. If the complementary laws follow the constitutional amendment to the letter and don’t get in the way, we’ll have a much smoother taxation system without so many points of divergence,” says Angelo.
