Recently, the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, announced the launch of a new form for the E-social system, with the aim of reducing bureaucracy and facilitating the exchange of information between employers and the State.
E-Social is a program developed by Caixa Econômica Federal (CAIXA) in conjunction with the National Social Security Institute (INSS), the Ministry of Social Security (MPS), the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), and the Brazilian Federal Revenue Secretariat (RFB), and was launched by the Brazilian government in 2015 with the aim of establishing a single way of providing information to the government.
Use of the platform is mandatory for all employers, including domestic workers, and was created to improve the quality of information provided to the government, cut red tape and guarantee workers’ rights.
With the new program, a change was made to its layout , where fields were disabled, impediments were replaced by warnings, in order to guarantee the transmission of information without missing deadlines, as well as removing requirements not provided for in the legislation.
In this new format, the only information needed to identify the worker in the system will be the Individual Taxpayer Registration number (CPF), and the employer will not be required to refer to other registration numbers, such as PIS and Pasep.
In addition, the debureaucratization program launched by the Ministry of Economy excluded information that is already in the state’s databases , such as the numbers of the General Registry (RG) and the National Driver’s License (CNH).
Changes have also been made to the domestic employer and individual micro-entrepreneur modules to make them easier to understand, using simpler language and including a virtual assistant to help fill in the information.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the new format of the form meets the demands of the country’s productive sector , since it simplifies filling in the information and eliminates unnecessary fields, but does not affect the maintenance of the data.
