Government sets up Digital Governance and Information Security Committee

On July 21, 2020, Decree No. 10,433/2020 was published, establishing the Digital Governance and Information Security Committee of the Presidency. The purpose of the Committee is to develop and monitor policies relating to information and communication technology governance and information security, within the scope of the Presidency and the Vice-Presidency.

This working group replaces the Digital Governance Committee of the Presidency of the Republic – CGD/PR, created by Ordinance No. 15 of July 4, 2017, which established a master plan for the period 2019 to 2022.

Among the measures expected by th Committee are the drafting of a new information and communication technology master plan and other projects related to information and communication technology in the Executive, such as the Information Security Policy, Digital Transformation Plan and Open Data Plan.
