The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) has published Ordinance No. 319, which lists the normative acts currently in force. The Ordinance was preceded by a review of more than 70,000 normative acts, published since 1860, and comes as a way of complying with Decree 10.139, of November 28, 2019, which established the review and consolidation of normative acts of public bodies

This is only the first phase, since the Decree establishes that the acts should gradually be revised and consolidated in order to facilitate access to legislation. According to Mapa’s legal advisor, “there will still be further stages of revision of the more than 10,000 acts that have already been consolidated”, with the merging of repetitive provisions, elimination of ambiguities, revocation of acts whose effects have been exhausted in the working time, etc. The work is scheduled to end in November 2021.
