The Senate has withdrawn the vote on Provisional Measure 927/2020, which changed labor rules during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Provisional Measure 927/2020 authorized companies to switch from face-to-face work to teleworking, and also allowed for individual or collective vacations to be brought forward, as well as for holidays to be brought forward, FGTS to be paid in advance, among other measures in the labor sphere.

However, there was no agreement and Provisional Measure 927/2020 will expire, given that its validity period is until July 19, 2020 (Sunday).

According to the President of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre, the provisional measure had many problems, more than a thousand amendments by the Senate, he stressed that there was no agreement to examine the matter.

The expiry of Provisional Measure 927/2020 will make it even more difficult for companies to deal with the crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, and it is recommended that companies seek legal advice to understand these impacts and suggest new ways of acting.
