Among micro and small companies, there was an increase in requests
In the first months of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, there was a reasonable increase in requests for judicial recovery, which shows the attempt to maintain business activity during the crisis.
Serasa Experian ‘s indicators showed an increase of around 46% in applications in April 2020.
Between May and September of this year, the indicators show a drop in requests for judicial reorganization among medium and large companies, while micro and small companies saw a significant increase in requests.
The services sector remains responsible for the largest number of requests for judicial recovery, followed by commerce and industry, respectively.
The institute of judicial recovery provides a legal alternative for entrepreneurs who are experiencing serious financial and economic difficulties, but whose business is still viable. The aim of judicial reorganization is to settle debts by renegotiating with creditors, but fundamentally with a view to preserving the company, business and jobs.
