In an effort to make court documents easier to understand, the 6th Federal Court of Rio Grande do Norte (JF-RN) created a writ of summons inspired by the concepts of Visual Law, bringing together visual elements such as icons and images to highlight the main information to the recipient.
The new model organizes the information in colored blocks to make it easier to read and includes a QR Code, which takes the user to an explanatory video from the court itself.
Visual Law is the use of visual resources such as images, graphics and QR codes combined with the use of clear terms and expressions, bringing accessibility to complex legal documents. This form of communication has come to be used in order to transform the legal message into a clear and understandable text for anyone, and is also used in contracts, opinions and petitions.
